Two youths have been charged in connection with a spate of arson attacks in Watton.

On the night of April 8 fire crews were called after a deliberate fire was started at Watton Sports Centre on Dereham Road, causing damage totalling £6,000 to a football shelter.

On April 24 and 25 firefighters spent hours tackling a blaze on the old RAF Watton site after 450 tonnes of straw were ignited, causing £20,000 worth of damage.

The defendants, who are both under 18, were charged with two counts of arson in relation to the incidents, and with a separate shop lifting offence.

They are due to appear at a youth court later this month.
