Two men were arrested on suspicion of taking part in a botched ram raid in a dawn swoop on a house in Wisbech St Mary this morning.
Five balaclava-clad men used a JCB to break into the HSBC in Cornhill in the early hours of August 2 but fled empty handed.
Today Cambridgeshire police raided a house in Garden Lane and arrested a 50 year-old man and a 27 year-old man, both on suspicion of burglary.
They were taken to the police investigation centre at King's Lynn for questionioning.
The younger man was also arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis after police discovered 14 cannabis plants inside the property.
Police confirmed that a JCB and a 4x4 vehicle have also been seized by officers.
Police will also want to question the men about a second and simultaneous raid in Long Sutton when raiders got away with a cash machine from a Barclays Bank, after first stealing a teleporter from Sutton St James.
