People living in two Norfolk villages have voted in favour of their respective neighbourhood plans.
Eighty-three percent of people in Rackheath who voted said 'yes' to the document, and 92pc supported the plan for Salhouse.
The neighbourhood plans are the result of an extensive period of research and consultation with both communities.
Shaun Vincent, Broadland District Council's portfolio holder for planning, said: 'Now the plans have been accepted they have to be taken into account when planning applications are considered by the district council.'
Salhouse Parish Council started the neighbourhood plan process in 2014, while Rackheath Parish Council appointed a consultant to help create their own one in 2015.
There are now 10 accepted neighbourhood plans across Broadland.
