Police have linked an attempted burglary in Dereham last Sunday with the theft of a money box and a handbag from a nearby home on the same day.
Officers believe the would-be burglars may have been disturbed before they could take anything from a home in King's Park between 12.40am and 5am on Sunday November 25.
A second home, in Neatherd Road, was targeted sometime between 5am and 9am on the same morning, when the thief or thieves entered through a back door and stole the items, including a purse inside the handbag.
Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area should contact DC Sarah Warner at Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
