Motorcyclists are being urged to secure their vehicles after a motorbike was stolen from a garage.

A blue and white Suzuki GSX-R1000 was taken from a garage in Linden Walk, Beck Row, near Mildenhall, between 5pm on Sunday, May 5 and and 9am on Monday, May 6.

The offenders gained access to the garage by removing tiles from the roof and climbing in, then opening the door from the inside and stealing the motorbike.

Police have urged motorcyclists to secure their motorbike within the garage by chaining it to a ground anchor, add additonal locks or bolts to garage doors if easily opened from the inside, install an alarm or fit dusk-to-dawn lighting outside their home or garage.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact PC Charlotte Boreham at Mildenhall Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
