PEARL earrings and necklaces, gold watches, bracelets and other items of jewellery were all stolen after someone broke into a home in Oulton Broad.

Burglars broke into the home at Prospect Road between 10.30am and 4.40pm on Saturday (December 1) and stole the large haul of jewellery.

Items including pearl earrings and necklaces, ladies gold watches with round faces, gold bracelets and necklaces, a silver chain with a pendant holding four or five diamonds, a purple amethyst ring, a white opal ring, two emerald rings, a white gold band with a sapphire surrounded by diamonds and a white gold ring with five diamonds set in the band were taken.

? Officers are also urging householders to be alert and to report any suspicious behaviour using 999 – and to leave a light or two on if you are likely to be out during the hours of darkness to make it appear as though there is someone at home.
