Four men, all Lithuanian nationals, denied the murder of 38 year-old Paulius Jakovlevas, in Great Yarmouth when they appeared at Norwich Crown Court for a hearing.

Four men have denied the murder of a 38 year-old man in Great Yarmouth when they appeared at Norwich Crown Court.

Paulius Jakovlevas, 38, was found dead in a stairwell at a Wellesley Road house on November 11, last year.

Kestutis Sliogeris, 39, of Cromwell Road, Peterborough, Saidas Janulevicius, 35, of no fixed address, Algirdas Pocius, 46, and Mantas Staponka, 24, from Lithuania, all denied the murder of Mr Jakovlevas between November 8 and November 11, last year.

Sliogeris also denied a charge of attempting to pevert the course of justice.

All four men had the help of a Lithuanian interpreteur in court.

The case was listed for a further hearing on May 9 and a trial is expected to take place in June.

All four men have been remanded in custody.
