The mother of missing RAF Honington serviceman Corrie McKeague, 23, has said as the days turn to months, it is difficult to remain positive.
Nicola, a family liaison officer for Police Scotland, also praised the officers involved in searching the Milton Landfill site for any sign of her son.
Corrie went missing from the centre of Bury St Edmunds on September 24. No sign of him has been found since.
Mrs Urquhart said: “As the days have turned into months it’s so difficult to remain positive that we will find Corrie.
“What I am positive of, is I will never stop trying. The police are still searching the area round the landfill, they are doing this because they still believe they will find Corrie there.
“So all I can do is wait. There is no new news and nothing has been found in connection with Corrie.
“The search will not start again until Tuesday for the bank holiday. I hope the police officers involved can enjoy time with their families as they deserve the break so much.”
Mrs Urquhart, who has three sons, also thanked the Find Corrie Facebook members for their continued support.
