A 33-year-old man will go on trial later this year after pleading not guilty to a series of offences in connection with the making and possession of indecent images of children.

It follows a National Crime Agency operation run in October last year which resulted in warrants being carried out across the Eastern region including in Norfolk and Suffolk, with a number of people arrested on suspicion of being involved in the distribution of indecent images of children.

Paul Baxter, of Chestnut Close, Dereham, is accused of 16 counts of making an indecent image of a child and one count of possessing of an indecent image of a child.

He appeared at Norwich Crown Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty to all 17 counts which relate to incidents in Dereham between July and October last year.

Baxter has been granted conditional bail until his trial which is due to take place at Norwich Crown Court on September 9.
