Here is our monthly look back at some of the criminals from Norfolk and Waveney who were jailed in December.
• A King's Lynn father who killed his six-month-old daughter by shaking her causing brain damage, was jailed for seven years.
Arunas Guzas, 40, of Greenland Avenue, King's Lynn, denied the offence but was convicted of her manslaughter following a two-week trial at Norwich Crown Court.
• A prolific burglar who stole cars, jewellery, cash and mobile phones was jailed for eight years.
Stan Smith, 23 of no fixed abode, stole three vehicles, along with a host of other items from homes across a variety of addresses. He pleaded guilty to the charges at Norwich Crown Court.
• A man known for his 'offensive' behaviour was jailed for breaching an order which banned him from being drunk and aggressive in a town centre - a day after it was handed to him.
Keith Bidwell, 50, of no fixed abode, was described as being 'well-known' to police in King's Lynn and was given a custodial sentence of two months.
• A thief who stole handbags belonging to three elderly ladies at a charity Christmas meal in Great Yarmouth was jailed for 22-weeks.
Ian Starkings, 36, of Pottergate in Norwich, was also banned from begging anywhere in Norfolk.
• Two men who inflicted life-threatening injuries on a 50-year-old man in his Lowestoft home were jailed for more than a decade each.
Scott Foskett, 35 of Ashfield Crescent in Lowestoft and Darryl Long, also 35, of York Road, Southend, were convicted of causing grievous bodily harm. Foskett was given a 14 year custodial sentence and Long sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.
• A jilted Lowestoft husband who launched a 'brutal attack' on his sister-in-law and her son, as he sought revenge for his wife leaving him, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of six years and three months.
Thomas Foley, 37 of Dell Road, stabbed his sister-in-law at her door, having driven 130 miles to her home in London. Foley faced seven charges in total, admitting attempted kidnapping, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, having an offensive weapon and two counts of assault.
• A Great Yarmouth stepfather who was convicted of murdering a toddler almost 50 years after a Facebook photograph sparked a new inquiry has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 13 years.
David Dearlove, 71, of Wolseley Road, swung 19-month-old Paul Booth by the ankles and bashed his head against a fireplace in 1968, then lied about what he had done for decades, claiming the little boy fell out of bed.
