A boy was kicked in the face several times when he was attacked by a group of teenagers on bikes in North Walsham.
The youngster was pushed to the ground and the assault resulted in swelling and bruising to his face.
Norfolk police would not release the age of the boy, but said he was younger than a teenager.
It happened around 5.45pm on Monday, April 3 at the junction of Yarmouth Road and Farman Avenue.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault.
