A man has been banned from begging and entering a town centre during the day.
David Ayres, 44, of St Nicholas Road, Great Yarmouth, appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He was handed a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after persistently begging in a public place.
The court heard how Ayres had been seen to beg in a public place on several occasions despite being warned about his conduct.
The provisions set out in the Criminal Behaviour Order state that Ayres must not:
• Beg or present to beg for money, cigarettes or any other item (by sign, word, gesture or positioning yourself in a way that would suggest this) within the county of Norfolk.
• Not enter Great Yarmouth town centre or the Regent Road tourist thoroughfare in an area defined on a map agreed by the court between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm every day.
