Do you support a charity or community group in the Sheringham area that could do with £5,000?

If so, next week's copy of the News will reveal how you can apply for a share of a Tesco community pot.

The News has teamed up with the store for a Helping Hand initiative which will invite people to nominate good causes within a 20-mile radius of the store, and then to vote for their favourite from a shortlist.

The Tesco Sheringham Community Fund, which was set up in 2012 to mark the launch of the new store, has so far given out more than £30,000 to local community groups and charities in the area. It is administered through the Norfolk Community Foundation.

Groups that have already benefited from the fund include the Sheringham Youth Zone, which received a grant earlier this year to buy games consoles, a projector, and crafts equipment.

If your organisation would like to make a bid for £5,000 make sure you get next week's News to find out how to make an application.

There will be a deadline for entries during August, with a shortlist published in September ready for public voting and winners announced in October.
