The A47 in Great Yarmouth was blocked after a car had to stop suddenly because of mechanical problems.
The incident happened on the Gorleston side of the Harfreys roundabout, in the town's Southtown area, at 7.30am on Monday January 15.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said a silver Vauxhall Astra was involved and officers were on scene until just after 9am.
She said the driver had to stop because the bonnet of the Vauxhall lifted up unexpectedly and damaged the car's windscreen.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust were also called.
