A man in his 50s was taken to hospital by air ambulance after he suffered a heart attack in Lowestoft today.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance's Anglia One joined the East of England Ambulance Service at a park near the location at 3.45pm.

While on scene the patient had a cardiac arrest and Doctor Jenny Townsend and CCP Gary Steward successfully worked to regain his circulation, before he was anaesthetised and airlifed to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

His condition is described as life-threatening.
