Plans have been revealed to convert a former doctors' surgery into 11 flats.
St James Medical Practice has relocated from its former base on County Court Road, in King's Lynn, into a larger purpose-built £5m centre on Edward Benefer Way.
Now plans have been submitted to West Norfolk Council to convert the redundant building.
A planning statement says hopes of another practice taking the building on are "extremely slim" because the 19th century structure, which was used as a surgery for around 50 years, is regarded as no longer fit for purpose by health watchdog the Care Quality Commission.

It adds: "The only interest we have had is from developers looking to convert to residential.
"King’s Lynn town centre is in desperate need of more residential accommodation, both for main occupancy and for the visitor economy."
Unsightly air conditioning units will be removed, while the only other alterations will be new windows and doors.
A decision is expected later this year.
