A Norwich man who appeared late for his sentencing for a drugs offence as he had "gone to get a suit" has had the case adjourned for a pre-sentence report.
Jack Butcher, 32, had been due to appear for sentence after he admitted possession with intent to supply cannabis in June 2022 at a previous hearing.
But Norwich Crown Court heard Butcher, of Rosary Road, Norwich, was not at the 10.30am hearing as he had "gone to pick up his suit".
Andrew Oliver, representing Butcher, said a friend of the defendant, who had been with him in the morning, said Butcher "went off to go and get a suit".
Butcher appeared at court later in the morning but had not yet had a pre-sentence report carried out on him.
Recorder Ruth Brander adjourned the case until April 19 in order that a report could be carried out before sentence.
