Greater Anglia has said "no services will run at all" on most routes during upcoming industrial action.

Strike action on December 5 will see a heavily reduced train service with no journeys on any routes from Norwich other than those running to London.

Trains on this route will run on an hourly basis but the service will start later and finish earlier than usual.

Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia’s managing director, said: "Unfortunately, on December 5 no services will run at all on most Greater Anglia routes.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these service alterations and advise customers to plan ahead and check before they travel."

Additional disruption will see no services operate on some Greater Anglia routes on December 3 and a significant number of cancellations are expected.

Train operators across the UK will be affected by action short of a strike between December 1 and December 9.

East Midlands Railway and LNER services have announced strike action for December 2.
