With inflation rates dropping for the first time in more than a year, the price of fuel has similarly started to fall.

According to the RAC, the average price of a litre of fuel at UK forecourts has gone down to 140.47p, which is expected to fall even further in the coming months.

RAC data shows petrol prices reached staggering highs of 191.53p per litre in July last year, exceeding £100 to fill up a family car.
