PEARCEY MICHAEL Sadly passed away on February 22nd, 2024, aged 85 years. Toni's beloved husband of 60 years. Much loved father of Abigail and Marcus, grandfather of Jonty, Franky, James and Mia. To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die. A funeral service for family and close friends will take place at All Saints Church, Postwick on Tuesday, March 12th at 12.45 p.m. Flowers by 10 a.m. please, to Harveys Funeral Home, 1 Norwich Road, New Costessey, Norwich, NR5 0EA.

About 40 years ago, Michael agreed to allow the newly formed Norwich Marchesi Rotary Club to meet for lunch at the Oaklands Hotel every Monday of each month, except for Bank holidays. Even though Michael retired some 5 years ago, the Club still meets for two Mondays a month at The Oaklands. Under Michael’s patronage and friendship, the Club enjoyed many years of lunchtime dining and special events and his legacy continues under the management of his son, Marcus.
There is no doubt that the well known quality of service at The Oaklands, long set by Michael and his staff, has helped the Marchesi Rotary Club to be one of the most respected Rotary Clubs in the District. We owe Michael a great deal.
All the members of the Marchesi Rotary Club send their condolences to Michael’s wife and his family.
