The distinctive sound of the Searchers (pictured) brought them a string of hits in the 1960s.

But the busy band is still going strong after 50 years, playing more than 150 gigs a year.

On Saturday September 26 they are at Cromer Pier.

Veterans John McNally and Frank Allen from the golden years of constant hits are joined by Spencer James and Scott Ottaway.

A valuable stock of more than a dozen chart entries, and multiple album tracks are mingled with stories of the triumphs and tribulations along the musical journey that has taken them all around the world.

Their biggest UK hit was Needles and Pins. Others included Sweets For My Sweet, Sugar and Spice and Don`t Throw Your Love Away.

Tickets £21 from 01263 512495 or www.cromer-pier.com.
