If you are looking for a band with big guitar riffs and high energy then Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes are the perfect band for you, bringing passion and personality to the stage at The Nick Rayns LCR last night [December 7].
The night kicked off with support band Ecca Vandal taking to the stage to open the show.
Their debut album was released on October 20 making them a band that are still relatively unknown.
They were a refreshing opener, bringing a diverse style of music, fusing synth and heavy hitting riffs with plenty of meaning, enough so that a fair few heads were nodding in time with the music.
It's highly likely that you'll be hearing the name Ecca Vandal again soon.
Basement were up next as the second support, and the mosh pit soon erupted as this melodic punk band soon cracked on with their set with relative ease.
Their song 'Promise Everything' from the album of the same name elicited the biggest reaction with a few crowd surfers making their way over the barrier with many singing the words back to the band.
The energy in the room was about to step up another level with the headliners ready to take the stage.
The headline act gradually made their way onto the stage as Frank Carter appeared with his hood up and sunglasses on, erupting straight into 'Primary Explosive' which had the crowd instantly jumping forward to the barrier.
Carter was full of personality and energy from the instant he hit the stage, jumping around and covering the entirety of the stage from start to finish.
'Juggernaut', a track from their first album 'Blossom', had Carter climbing into the crowd half way through before crowd surfing whilst fans climbed up and joined him.
A highlight from the night was when he invited all the women to climb onto each others shoulders and sing along before playing 'Wild Flowers'.
Halfway through the song he then asked them all up onto the stage with him where he finished the song lost in a sea of his fans.
From that point on the energy, madness and pure fun that Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes bring to a show continued until the end of their set.
If you are yet to catch one of their shows then I would highly recommend it - you are in for a real treat!
