Fancy dress has become one of the fun staples at the Blickling Proms – and, with a magnum of champagne for the best-dressed visitor, the event next Saturday will be no exception.
Fancy dress at the Blickling Proms events has been extremely popular since the first Revival Productions event in 2012, which celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Since then, there's been James Bond in 2013, with prizes for the best-dressed Bond girl and villain, before the 2014 concert commemorated the start of the First World War, where we saw land girls and soldiers gathering in Blickling Park.
In 2015, the theme was 1940s, which saw one of the biggest fancy-dress turnouts, and then last year's iconic films scores theme once again produced another vast array of inspired dressing-up.
This year, is no exception as there will be a magnum of champagne on offer to the best-dressed British icon: think Good Queen Bess, King Arthur, Winston Churchill...
Lisa Ward, from Revival Productions, explains: 'People enjoy dressing up and it certainly adds to the atmosphere. It's amazing the effort that some make and we like to show our appreciation by offering a large bottle of fizz to the best-dressed to enjoy with their friends on the evening. If you don't fancy dressing up, that's fine too!'
So, whether you feel like wearing an iconic Union Jack dress, being a knight of the realm, or perhaps reinventing yourself as your favourite soap star, it's up to you.
A photographer will be roaming the site during the build-up and first-half of the concert, so make yourselves known.
Entries will be judged by Chris Elliott, marketing and fundraising manager for the event's chosen charity, the Benjamin Foundation, and winners will be announced during the interval after the first half.
This year's event features the National Symphony Orchestra, led by Anthony Inglis, dubbed the 'UK's most popular conductor', along with Brit Award-winning Welsh vocal group Only Men Aloud and soprano Annette Wardell.
The musical programme will feature iconic music from all corners of the UK, beginning with the National Anthem, followed by some truly rousing English classics including the Dambusters' March, I Vow to Thee My Country and The Archers theme tune. Irish anthems will then follow including Danny Boy, Irish Washerwoman Encore and Toss the Feather.
Rugby anthem Bread of Heaven and other Welsh favourites will then be performed by the Classical Brit Award-winning Welsh vocal group, Only Men Aloud, before the musical odyssey continues to Scotland, when the City of Norwich Pipe Band will join in with Scottish greats including Skye Boat Song, Scotland the Brave and Flower of Scotland before walking up through the centre of the crowd to mark the end of a truly memorable first half.
The second half will see the National Symphony Orchestra return to the stage to perform all the Proms favourites including Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and British anthem Jerusalem. The evening will end with a fireworks spectacular over the lake.
