Tipples, treats and take-downs: jump into a virtual world inside Norwich gaming café One Life Left.

With so many fantastic places to visit down St Benedict's Street, it's no surprise business owner and games fanatic Jon Gage chose it as the base for setting up his new gaming café, One Life Left.

A cosy interior, the coffee shop paraphernalia is interspersed with a mix of screens, game art, consoles and controllers.

The café opened May 31 2017, and after only two months, it's already clear One Life Left has grown a comprehensive and loyal following.

Eat, drink and play games is the premise – either on your own or with friends – and it's also an opportunity to try something new.

The list of games in the library seems endless and the menu of consoles spans the decades with original 8-bits bringing nostalgic delight to many, as well as the latest technology for all the new releases.

Every Friday and Saturday is event night: one game is picked as a theme and you can try it out, compete, learn or just watch and enjoy. Of course, you can just play something else if you wish.

There are on-going competitions including time-trials but most of all, it's an opportunity to sit back and enjoy a virtual world in a relaxed setting.
