Your previous correspondent is correct when pointing out the inadequate signage banning traffic from St Stephen's Street, Castle Meadow, etc.

On the small slip road leading to Agricultural Hall Plain from Upper King Street the signs permitting access only for buses, taxis and cycles were removed some time ago.

As there are no signs stopping general traffic entering this area it now means that traffic may enter Castle Meadow and on to Red Lion Street and through to St Stephens without any notification to the contrary and could be the reason so many people are receiving fixed penalty tickets and if anyone has received a ticket can they now claim the money back.

Perhaps they could also place some flower tubs at the top of Westlegate as the number of cars coming down and straight over to Rampant Horse Street is unbelievable, although this is not the council's fault.

Anyone who drives through no through road signs on All Saints' Green and on to Westlegate has only themselves to blame, signage is needed before someone is seriously hurt.
