First teepees, then yurts, now shepherds huts – glamping options are getting ever more weird and wonderful.
And one Norfolk landowner has cottoned on to the newest trend, with her own set of shepherds huts due to launch this summer.
Amanda Benton, who owns Thompson Hall near Watton, purchased three of the small holiday units from the English Shepherds Hut Company. As well as the £150,000 investment in the huts, which have all been fitted with verandas and outdoor kitchens, she spent a further £50,000 on infrastructure improvements on the 32-acre estate.
Ms Benton, managing director of Oakdale Construction and Maintenance, which is based at the hall, hopes to provide a place where guests can 'get away from everything'.
Thompson Hall Retreat will be holding an open day on Saturday, July 8 and will be at the Norfolk Show on June 28 and 29.
