Despite rearing free-range turkeys for nearly 50 years there was a first for Godwick Turkeys at this year's Royal Norfolk Show.
The family run farm, near Tittleshall, launched their new Godwick Gobble Box at this year's Show, a new street-food bar selling hot and cold turkey wraps using the farm's free-range Norfolk turkey meat.
'For us it is about showing people that turkey isn't just a meat for Christmas and it can be enjoyed in lots of different ways throughout the year,' said farmer Robert Garner.
'Serving our turkey in wraps might be different but the quality is still the same, all the turkeys are dry-plucked by hand and are hung for 14 days in the traditional way to guarantee a rich tasting meat.'
With Christmas the main focus of the turkey industry Mr Garner said the mobile eatery would help spread the word for the rest of the year, and he said he had even taken some festive orders on a rainy Wednesday in June.
