A water treatment systems developer is celebrating another overseas success after signing its second contract in Jamaica.

Gurney Environmental has been enlisted by the country's National Water Commission to install the first phase of its Accel-o-Fac system for the Great Portmore waste water treatment plant. It follows a previous contract to install the low-energy system at the Harbour View wastewater treatment plant on the island, also owned and operated by the commission.

The King's Lynn company has also developed municipal systems in Australia and New Zealand.

The installation of the Accel-o-Fac system is due to take place at Great Portmore later in 2017.

The firm said the new contract 'underpins Gurney Environmental's commitment to developing its overseas exports as well as the growing acceptance of the company's sustainable wastewater treatment technology worldwide.'
