A paint and oil producer which has supplied the Sandringham estate for more than 30 years is celebrating after the renewal of its royal warrant.

Witham Oil and Paint, which operates from bases in Soham, Lowestoft and Lincoln, began supplying engine oil to the royal estate in 1984 and went on to supply paint and a variety of agricultural lubricants.

The company has held the royal warrant – awarded to companies supplying goods or services to the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales or any of their respective households for at least five years – since 1991.

There are only 800 firms globally who hold the honour, including Bentley, Landrover and Cartier.

Nigel Bottom, Witham Group managing director, said: 'The royal warrant helps underline our company's commitment to maintaining and building its reputation as producers of the finest quality lubricants and paints.'
