The Really Useful Print Company has appointed managing director David Littlechild's son Daniel as production director and Jim Bidnall as sales director.

It comes as the firm – which expects to increase sales to £1.2m over the next two years – reached a significant milestone this year by celebrating 100 years as a business in Norwich after it was first founded by the Pulford family as the Morris Printing Company.

'Norwich was built on the shoe and print trades. We are one of the few original parts of that proud tradition which have thrived,' said David Littlechild, who himself celebrates 50 years in the stationery and print business this year.

'We have continued to grow because of the range of services we offer. Our strength is our product range provided to a wide variety of clients located all over the country from Glasgow to Southampton.

'Recently Elizabeth McIntyre from the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind told me they had come across a minute book from 1918 which records the associations dealing with Morris Print 96 years ago.'

The Morris Printing Company moved to Oak Street in the mid-1960s after its original premises were acquired for the development of Sovereign House, the former Her Majesty's Stationery Office headquarters.

Mr Littlechild became part of the company when his business, Total Paper Management, acquired Morris Print, along with the printworks of Office Team, where he had previously been regional director.

In 2010 Mr Littlechild registered the name of the business as the Really Useful Print Company.

It moved into new premises in Bessemer Road, where it has continued to expand by acquiring GB Printers, Bidnall Press and Quick Print.
