Blickling Hall is on the hunt for a new countryside manager to help run the 5,000 acre estate near Aylsham.

Dating back to the fifteenth century, the Blickling Estate is not only home to the historic mansion but also to 500 acres of parkland which attract 400,000 visitors a year.

The estate still has working farmland with 12 tenant farmers and it's also home to agriculture businesses.

The role of countryside manager, with a salary of £30,000 a year, involves conservation work, recruiting new volunteers with a love of the great outdoors and managing the estates tenants.

It will also be up to the successful candidate to help deliver new cycle trails in Blickling's parks and implement National Trust initiatives.

Key skills needed for the role include hands on experience of working on a large countryside estate, strong leadership skills and an understanding of how the outdoors impacts visitor experience.

Free entry to National Trust properties and up to 35% off a National Trust holiday cottage booking are just some of the benefits on offer to the lucky candidate.

The closing date for this job is February 25 and to apply visit the National Trust website.
