The 'digital making' festival – part of the Norwich Gaming Festival – is aimed at everyone from the curious beginner to the experienced techie and will feature workshops, talks and show-and-tell stalls.

The Raspberry Jam event at OPEN on May 27 will be based around Raspberry Pi, a credit card-sized computer which plugs into a computer monitor or TV which enables people to explore the world of computing and learn based programming techniques.

City of Norwich School student Archie Roques has organised the event in partnership with The Forum and Step Into Tech, a social enterprise helping children to teach their 'tech potential'.

The 17-year-old said: 'We are really excited to be able to bring an event like this to Norwich as we have a large tech community here and lots of untapped potential. It's great to be able to bring people together and share ideas and similar events have happened all over the world, from Columbia to Cambridge.'
