Tickets are now on sale for the biggest event on Norfolk's agricultural calendar.

With 100 days remaining until the Royal Norfolk Show, tickets have gone on sale for the county's premier summer event – with money-saving discounts for advance sales.

More than 80,000 people are expected to attend the two-day annual event – on June 28-29 – which aims to promote the best of Norfolk with many new themes and highlights introduced for 2017.

Food and farming remain the traditional core of the show, but the organisers also highlight a renewed focus on innovation and the arts.

This will include a unique Showstoppers project – a 'Choir of a Thousand' – that will come together from all parts of Norfolk to perform a specially commissioned piece of music, composed by Cheryl Frances-Hoad with lyrics strongly linked to Norfolk and its rural landscape, under Mark De-Lisser of BBC Voice.

In addition, a new performance space in the newly created Royal Square will also widen the musical offering at the show. The new bandstand will be located in the retail area and will accommodate performing groups of up to four people.

Shopping and the retail experience will also play a major role. This year's show will welcome more than 700 businesses trading at what's billed as Norfolk's 'largest outdoor experience'.

Visitors will be able to browse and buy from a wide range of shops trading with everything from luxury goods and clothing to banking and cars. There will also be a range of agricultural suppliers present, many with state of the art farming and agricultural equipment on sale.

This year also sees a new association between show organisers the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association and Archant, publisher of the Eastern Daily Press and Evening News.

The show guide – produced by Archant editorial and sales teams – will be free to EDP readers and included in the newspaper in the lead-up to the show. There will also be free copies of the official show guide available at the event.

Online tickets for this year's show are on sale now, with discounted advance tickets currently available only on the Royal Norfolk Show website. A new two-day adult ticket has been introduced this year at £30, a saving of £20.
