A woman was slapped around the face as she sat in North Walsham town centre.
The female, in her 20s, had been sitting by the town clock after a night out when she was approached by a man.
He made inappropriate comments towards her before slapping her around the face, causing reddening to her cheek. He then walked off in the direction of QD Stores.
He was described as being white, around 6ft tall, aged in his mid-20s, having dark cropped hair with a full dark beard. He was wearing a white top with dark jeans.
The incident happened at around 1am on Saturday, May 6.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault.
