A whole host of top names will be making their way to Lowestoft’s Marina Theatre this year.
The theatre this week unveiled full details of its new season, which will see appearances by the likes of Madness frontman Suggs, X Factor winner Joe McElderry, Elkie Brooks, Julian Lloyd Webber, Showaddywaddy and boy band 911.
Comedians Jason Manford, Jon Richardson and Roy Chubby Brown will also be among those bringing laughs and jokes to the Marina between February and May.
Music lovers of all ages will have the chance to enjoy a variety of shows, including tributes to Elvis, Motown, Simon and Garfunkel and Billy Fury.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be starting its 12th year of residency in Lowestoft with international soloist Freddy Kempf performing alongside violinist Clio Gould and principal cellist Tim Gill.
Theatre-goers can also step back in time with a matinee performance of the Magnificent Musical Hall and The Irish Party House will aim to get people in an upbeat mood.
A number of acclaimed dramas will also be visiting the Marina, with the Saltmine Theatre Company performing Amazing Grace, the comedy Dirty Dusting starring Benidorm’s Chrissie Rock, Leah Bell and Pat Dunn, and the Olivier Award-winning play Morecambe – based on the life of Eric Morecambe.

Another entertainments venue in the Lowestoft area has also unveiled its latest season.
Called Here Comes the Girls, the new season at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield runs until April and will include shows by comedians Lucy Porter, Susan Calman and Jo Caulfield who are all due appear next month.
