Girl power ruled at this year’s stonking V festival as a line up of feisty female stars took to the stage.
Leading the pack was the Queen B herself, Beyonce who dazzled the sold out crowd with her Saturday night headline performance.
Sporting her new bob haircut, Mrs Carter kept her audience waiting before exploding onto the stage, and with her entourage of high-energy dancers she strutted her way through a roll call of hits, including Run The World (Girls) and Single Ladies.
The atmosphere lulled through some of the slower numbers but things ended on a high as she belted out powerful chart topping ballad Halo.
Before Beyonce’s show-stopping performance, urban pop princess Jessie J had got the crowd fired up with her storming main stage set. The Voice judge prowled the stage in a revealing black and white two piece and had the crowd screaming for more.
Kicking off Sunday’s sun soaked line up - and continuing the girl power vibe - was The Saturday’s, who appeared as a foursome as pregnant fifth member Frankie Sandford rested on doctors orders.
Emeli Sande picked up the baton later in the day and had the crowd in fine voice as she led them through hits including read All About It and Next To Me, as the sun slowly began to sink.
Starry Eyed singer Ellie Goulding, enjoying her first number one with new single Burn, attracted a huge crowd at the Arena stage, while singer songwriter Rita Ora had the crowd going crazy with her energetic set - which included last year’s chart topper Hot Right Now - on the 4Music stage, ahead of headliner Calvin Harris.
With cracking sets from Tom Odell, Seasick Steve - who was joined on stage by legendary Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones - The Stereophonics, and a headline performance from Kings of Leon thrown into the mix, 2013’s two day spectacular proved to be V enjoyable.
