Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Here are just a few of the events that will keep you busy.
If your in the mood for giggles and don’t mind a bit of blood then Seven Psychopaths (15) will get you laughing. Director Martin McDonagh builds on his past success with In Bruges, following drunken writer Marty (Colin Farrell) who has hit a wall with his script also called Seven Psychopaths. In a bid to help out Marty’s friend Billy (Sam Rockwell) places a newspaper advert looking for psychopaths to share their life stories. Zachariah (Tom Waits) answers, but has some requests in return for sharing his past. Overall Seven Psychopaths promises to entertain with great writing and an all star cast with the likes of Christopher Walken adding his own type of humour. This is one not to miss.
The Kabeedies are coming back to the Arts Centre this Saturday with their new all-male line up. This Indie band have just had a successful tour through Europe and have come back with some new music along with old favourites, and will be joined by special guests These Ghosts and Rory McVicar. For a festive treat Thetford forest is holding The Electric Forest event which promises to be a night time adventure. This 1.2 mile walk through the forest starts off at the high lodge, and winds through illuminated spaces, with sound and visual installations that will bring a bit of magic to the air. Make sure you wrap up warm and bring a torch to enjoy this experience to the full. The trail is open from 5:30 till 8pm until Sunday, and Thursday till December 16. If you would rather stay in doors then the Sewell Barn Theatre is running Flare Path until Saturday. This wartime drama set in 1942 tells the story of how a pilot’s wife deals with a threat just as dangerous as what her Husband faces at war. If you enjoy comedy then Shappi Khorsandi is coming to Great Yarmouths’ St George’s Theatre on Saturday. Shappi has risen to comedy fame through shows such as Have I got News For You and Live at the Apollo, and now recounts her unconventional upbringing in her new Adults only show.
