A new event celebrating food and drink from around the world is being staged in Norwich city centre this summer and pitches are now being reserved for local traders and producers.
Organised by Market Square Group, The Great Norwich Nosh Up will run over four days and feature some of the best regional, national and international food and drink available in the UK, as well as showcasing high-quality kitchen products and crafts.
This family event, being staged in Chapelfield Gardens between June 12 to 15, will also feature a host of attractions including cooking demonstrations, a beer festival, children’s activities and live music.
Market Square Group is keen to attract local food and drink producers, growers and restaurants to be part of the new event.
Booking discounts are being offered to local traders selling homemade and locally-grown produce and stalls are included for those selling groceries and crafts.
There will also be a chance for local chefs to take to the stage in the cookery theatre in a schedule that includes one of the world’s best know celebrity chefs.
Paul Kennedy, Market Square Group’s event co-ordinator, said: “The Great Norwich Nosh Up will feature a fantastic line-up of shopping and tasting opportunities, activities and entertainment, designed to appeal to the whole family.
“We are keen to ensure local businesses have the chance to be part of this exciting new trading experience - it’s a fantastic opportunity to promote their products not only to event-goers who live locally, but also those from further afield.”
