Fairy Tales of The Unexpected will take to the stage at Morley Village Hall on Friday, November 2.

Custard pies will fly at Morley this half term when a riotous new children’s show takes over the village hall.

Fairy Tales of The Unexpected is a fast, funny twist on traditional stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, with more than a touch of Roald Dahl and Shrek in the mix. There are plenty of chances for the under-11s to join in... and outwit the big, bad wolf.

The show, by professional company LP Creatives, sold out at theatres across East Anglia earlier this year. Now, with backing from Creative Arts East, it is playing local venues as part of an initiative to bring high-quality entertainment to rural areas.

All children love comedy and slapstick,” said Morley Village Hall chairman Rob Boulter. “It should be a lot of fun, for them and their parents.

“This is a first for us but we hope not a last. We’re really keen to make the scheme a success because we’d love to put on more great family productions for people who don’t necessarily want to drive to the city for a good night out.”

Fairy Tales of The Unexpected is at Morley Village Hall on Friday, November 2. Doors open at 4pm for a 4.30pm start. Tickets: £5 adult, £3 children. Family deals available. To book, call 07783 153408.
