This year’s Cley Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) pantomime Aladdin and the Gels of St. Trinian’s will be performed at Cley Village Hall next month.

It will be shown on Thursday February 6, Friday February 7 and Saturday February 8 at 8pm with a matinee on Saturday at 3pm.

The charity night will be on Friday and proceeds from that show will go towards the Holt Youth Project.

Based on Old Station Way, Holt, the charity supports young people in the area.

It runs social hubs for 11 to 19-year-olds in the Holt area and two young carers’ groups for about 40 people.

The pantomime will follow a curious storyline that encompasses the naughty pick-pocketing “gels” with their calculating headmistress and assistant Fast Freddie.

There is also a sultan and sultana and cross-dressing nonsense with Mo and Flo.

Hero Aladdin, with the help of the genie, Widow Twanky and the sorceress Josephine, sorts out the evil Abanaza and his co-conspirator Wong.

The panto includes music from shows including Hair and Oliver and songs by The Wanted, Mud and Queen.

Tickets cost £7 for adults and £3 for children, which are available from Made In Cley shop on Cley High Street. Alternatively call 01263 740134.

Anyone interested in joining CADS should ring John Roebuck on 01263 713248. For more information visit www.cleydrama.co.uk.
