An auction of promises (with buffet) is being held at the Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Attleborough on Friday, September 28.

An evening of music and dining with the chief examinar of the London College of Music, work by the portrait artist who painted the Duke of Westminster, gardening and guitar lessons are just some of the lots going under the hammer on Friday, September 28.

The auction of promises, which includes a buffet, will take place at the Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Queens Square, Attleborough, to raise funds for maintenance and repairs to the 17th-century building.

Bidders could also have their office organised or kitchen cleaned, a poem written by published poet Sean Chard on a subject of their choice, a psychotherapy session, financial consultation, flower arranging class, taxi service, a box of home-grown organic fruit and vegetables, or artwork by Crispin Robjent or Mark Yardley.

The evening starts at 7pm with drinks reception, followed by live auction with a home-cooked buffet at the interval.

People are invited to turn up early if they would like to join in with prayers to the Buddha of Compassion at 6.30pm.
