Great Yarmouth bounced back to winning ways with a 27-run win over Horsford B which took them to the top of Division One on a day when the wet weather played havoc with the programme.

Yarmouth were put in to bat and posted 199-4 with Lee Fitzsimmons (64) and Mark Thompson (58) each making a half century. In reply, Horsford made 172-7 from 30 overs. Mark Cockrill took 3-39, while Horsford top scorer was S Shaikh with 69.

Martham moved into second with a 62-run win over Happisburgh.

Aaron Underwood took 5-30 for Happisburgh as Martham made 178 all out, but the hosts came up short, bowled out for 116 from 25.1 overs, with Sim Randell taking 6-44.

Division Two saw just two games, with Felthorpe beating Blundeston to leapfrog their opponents into second spot, behind Sprowston B.

Felthorpe made 128-8 from 35 overs, skittling out Blundeston for 66 in reply, with Jon Gill taking 4-16.

Drayton (137-4) were winners by six wickets at Caister (134-3), thanks to 81 not out from Naresh Kumar. Shaun Goodby top-scored for Caister with 55 not out.

Bryan Clarke hit 107 and Mike Gurney 66 as Winterton A beat bottom side Hales and Loddon A by two wickets in Division Three. Winterton racked up a mighty 242-6 and Hales & Loddon A were bowled out for 120, with Jack Collins taking 4-23.

Leaders Garboldisham made it four wins out of four with a 50-run victory against Rackheath. The top dogs made 145-9 and then bowled Rackheath out for 95.

Adam Penton had a good day as Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers beat Winterton B in Division Four. Penton scored 83 as Wanderers made 240-3 and then took 3-7 as Winterton were bowled out for 104.

Leaders Reepham and Salle narrowly saw off one of their closest rivals in a thriller at North Elmham, who won the toss and chose to bowl, dismissing Reepham for 150, Ben Hunt taking 5-7. The hosts came up short by four runs, despite the best efforts of A Hunt (30). G Wright took 4-26.

Robin Konieczny scored an unbeaten 64 as Swanton Morley (153-7) beat Colney (150-7).

In Division Five, leaders Hethersett and Tas Valley B won at Sprowston C. Jon Salmon contributed 69 to Sprowston’s 158-8, with Cameron Clarke taking 3-26, but the leaders overhauled that for the loss of eight wickets, with Max Adams hitting 56.

Second placed Gillingham made 120 and then bowled Old Catton B out for 38, while Halvergate secured their first win of the season when they beat Lowestoft B.

Divisions Six and Eight were wiped out, but in Division Seven, there were wins for Kirkley and Lowestoft Railway A and Happisburgh A.
