Wroxham came from two goals down to complete a thrilling victory over Waltham Abbey.

The Yachtsmen were without suspended duo Matt Halliday and Daniel Self, with Aaron Sanders and Ben Price taking their places, the latter sporting the captain's armband for the afternoon.

The Abbotts made an electric start and found themselves two up within the first eight minutes. Darelle Russell bagged the first, finding space just inside the box to fire past Robert Juhasz after Tom Bruno dinked the ball through to the striker with Wroxham short at the back. And it wasn't long before they made it 2-0, Joe Pearman clinically dispatching an eighth-minute penalty.

Wroxham found a way back into the game out of nowhere with five minutes of the half left as Ross Durrant fired in from 18 yards.

The home side started the second half with the winds at their backs and Durrant grabbed his second to level the score.

Some probing wing play from Sanders in the 49th minute allowed Joe Marsden space from the edge of the box, the right back whipping in a superb cross for Durrant to connect with a diving header and beat Barnes at his near post.

Remy Gordon then curled a sublime 58th-minute effort from the edge of the box for 3-2 after good play from Marsden, before Tom Bruno drilled into the bottom corner five minutes later to restore parity.

But Gordon had the last say, scuffing in a 67th-minute effort off the post to retake the lead for good and make it two home wins in a row.
