Wroxham and Great Yarmouth Town lock horns in a mouth-watering clash at Trafford Park.
Yachtsmen boss Stu Larter reports a near clean bill of health ahead of the preliminary round fixture. But Steve Taylor (dead leg) is doubtful while Nathan Stone (muscle strain) is unlikely to feature.
The Ryman Division One North outfit play two levels above the Thurlow Nunn Division One Bloaters. However, with Yarmouth having seen off higher-tier Huntingdon in the previous round of the FA Cup, Larter is adamant he’s not taking the east coast outfit lightly.
He said: “We played Yarmouth in a pre-season friendly and put in our worst performance so far, losing 2-1.
“We know they will raise their game for this one but hopefully we will have enough skill to progress.”
The winners will visit United Counties League Premier Division Peterborough Northern Star, who Wroxham beat in last season’s competition, or Thurlow Nunn Premier Mildenhall Town.
Bloaters’ manager Ricci Butler said: “Although we were given a tough draw we are excited to still be in the competition. Huntingdon were a good side but we were the better team on the day and won through.
“Wroxham, we know, are a very good footballing side and we will respect that, but we will go there and work hard and try our best to come away with a result.
“We will need to match them in commitment and work rate and believe in ourselves from the first kick of the ball to the last.”
