King's Lynn chairman Stephen Cleeve has promised improvements in the first team next season after announcing a rise in season ticket prices.

In a joint statement on the Linnets' official website Cleeve and manager Ian Culverhouse promised fans they will deliver a squad capable of challenging for honours next season.

Lynn, who entertain Frome today at The Walks, have endured a frustrating campaign, which ultimately cost Gary Setchell his job.

Former Norwich City player and coach, Culverhouse, was brought in to turn round the club's fortunes and Cleeve believes the club is at the start of an upward curve.

'One of the reasons I appointed Ian was because he has high standards and the sort of professionalism I want throughout our club,' said Cleeve.

'We have an extremely loyal following and we owe it to them to put in place a team capable of challenging for honours. Accordingly, the first team will be improved this summer.'

Culverhouse hailed the level of support he has received since his appointment but wants to see fans come through in greater numbers to ensure funds are available to support the first team.

'The supporters have been magnificent to me since I came in,' he said. 'Their support is unwavering and translates to the players on a match day, so we need you to come in even greater numbers next season.

'The chairman and I are very clear about the players we need, the scouting network that needs to be in place, and academy, to help nurture future talent.'

To instigate change the club has increased season ticket prices with a general admission ticket costing £240, concessions £200 and junior (12-18) £80. To help with the costs, supporters are able to pay via an instalment plan.

'We have capped the price rises at the lowest level possible,' added Cleeve. 'Whilst there have been increases we are also offering initiatives to help supporters pay over several months and bring the next generation of supporters for free.

'I think of myself as a custodian of Kings Lynn Town FC and I want our club to be successful – but I can only do that with you, the supporters. Your backing is incredible.'
