Norwich United maintained their seven-point lead at the top of the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division with a comfortable 3-0 win over Mildenhall.
The score was still 0-0 at the break but goals from defender Steve Shipley, top scorer Matt Blake and an own goal fired the reigning champions to the win at Plantation Park.
It extended the Planters excellent unbeaten home record in the league to 10 games, nine of which have been wins, scoring 28 goals and conceding just five.
Felixstowe kept up the pressure though with their fifth successive victory, winning 2-0 at home against bottom-of-the-table Whitton United.
Thetford gave their hopes of avoiding relegation a huge boost, winning 5-2 on home soil against struggling Fakenham.
Shaun Hunsden fired the Brecklanders in front in just the eighth minute at Mundford Road but Josh Youngs equalised for the Ghosts shortly before half-time.
Ryan Pearson reclaimed the lead for Thetford before the whistle though and Ollie Standley then extended the lead by heading home a corner in the 50th minute for 3-1.
Hunsden hit the post soon after as Danny White’s team tried to seal the points but Fakenham hit back through Matty Franks in the 67th minute, making the score 3-2.
Hunsden did score his second in the 77th minute however, heading home from a corner, and Bruno Tavares wrapped up the 5-2 triumph six minutes later.
In the First Division, Diss won their first match since October, beating high-flying Great Yarmouth 1-0 to move up to 14th place and with games in hand on teams above them.
Dereham Town Reserves also leapfrogged Downham into 15th place with a 2-1 win away from home.
