Norwich Iceni are set to take on Kent Mariners in the quarter-finals of the Single A South division of British Baseball tomorrow after a superb inaugural season.
The Iceni have reached the knockout stages after winning all 14 of their regular season games of baseball.
Having finished first in their division, including teams from across the south-east of England, the club will play the sixth-placed Mariners in a first knockout round to qualify for the semi-finals and finals, to be held at Farnham Park's baseball and softball complex in Slough.
Iceni coach, Ted Turocy, said: 'Our success this year is a product of the work everyone has put in during training this spring and summer. Fundamentally sound baseball has been our calling card all season.
'It's those fundamentals that have seen us through consistently week in and week out through the regular season.'

On the opening day of the campaign, Iceni defeated the Mariners 24-10, who finished sixth in the Single A south division.
Both teams have named almost full-strength squads, although starting outfielder Tom Thornhill and pitcher Andreas Fopp are now unavailable for the tie for Norwich.
Club captain Ethan Attwood said: 'We have a new goal: winning it all. As with all American-born sports, the regular season results are discarded as soon as the magical words are uttered in the final month and all hell breaks loose: 'play-offs'.
'This has been an amazing, spectacular, mind-blowing season, but it means nothing if we can't finish what we now know is within reach.'
Although Norwich has a rich history of baseball blood, the sport has remained dormant over the previous decade.
Only two teams scored more runs than the 229 racked up by the Iceni but their record of just 60 against was by far the best record in their league.
The match is schedule to start at midday at Locksley School in Tuckswood and organisers are hoping for a good attendance.
