Wroxham produced a clinical performance to outclass Thamesmead Town at Trafford Park.
Wroxham made one change from the side that beat Chatham Town away on Saturday, with Ben Price replacing Andy Howell at the back.
Both sides were struggling to control the ball in the opening stages but it was the home side who were looking the more dangerous in attack, Remy Gordon proving to be a constant threat down the left with his deliveries into the box.
And the Wroxham winger proved to be the difference on 19 minutes as he gave his side the lead, latching on to a lovely through ball from Christy Finch to coolly slot home from 12 yards.
Paul Smith then blazed over for the visitors as they looked to hit Wroxham on the break, before Danny White missed a golden chance for 2-0 on 33 minutes, the midfielder heading just over from Gordon’s whipped free-kick when free from eight yards, before Jordan King laid his effort just wide on the stroke of half time.
However, the Yachtsmen would not rue these missed chances as they moved up through the gears on the hour mark to make it 2-0.
One touch passing from King and Finch released Nathan Stone down the middle, with the striker bursting free to fiercely strike home from the edge of the box for 2-0.
And nine minutes later it was 3-0, Finch again the architect. The striker latched on to Jack Garrod’s ball to lay it back to the winger, who fired into the roof of the net at the near post to cement the lead.
Wroxham proceeded to see the game out with ease with Derek Duncan’s late red card for the visitors compounding a miserable evening for them while Wroxham continued their fine run of form to make it four wins from five.
