With further high winds and heavy rain being predicted for this weekend, pitch inspections are being held around the region this morning, following some early postponements yesterday.

King's Lynn Town will not be making the trip to Buxton in the Evo Stik Northern Premier Division after the Derbyshire club this morning confirmed their Silverlands pitch is waterlogged.

The club's reserve side will be in home action at The Walks though, in a 2pm kick-off against Coates Athletic in the Peterborough & District Football League.

An 8.30am pitch inspection at Crown Meadow has also confirmed Lowestoft Town's home clash against Enfield Town in the Ryman Premier is off because of a waterlogged pitch.

However, Wisbech Town's big FA Vase match at Hadleigh United is set to go ahead after a pitch inspection at the Suffolk's club's Millfield stadium this morning.

The Fenmen take on the Brettsiders in the fifth round of the competition at 3pm, as they continue in their quest to reach a Wembley final.

In Ryman North, Dereham Town have confirmed their Aldiss Park pitch is fine for today's home game against Maldon & Tiptree and Wroxham's hosting of Tilbury at Trafford Park is also set to go ahead, following a 10am pitch inspection.

Forecasters are predicting that overnight high winds and rain shower, will be followed by more blustery weather and squally showers today, with calmer weather not returning until Sunday.

Great Yarmouth Town's Thurlow Nunn First Division match at Needham Market Reserves was called off yesterday, following an early pitch inspection of the Suffolk club's waterlogged pitch.

Bloaters officials are encouraging supporters to attend the club's reserves match instead, who are due to be in action at The Wellesley against Walsham-le-Willows this afternoon.

The postponement means Yarmouth's first team will not have played since January 25, when they won 3-0 at home against Downham Town.

They are due to return to The Wellesley next Saturday for a league clash with March Town United, for what would be the club's first match since the controversial departure of manager Mike Derbyshire.

Fakenham Town are also without a game, with their home game against Team Bury called off yesterday afternoon after an early inspection of Clipbush Park.

The Ghosts have also not played since January 25, halting a run of four successive victories. The Thurlow Nunn First Division leaders are due to be back in action at Braintree Town Reserves next Saturday.
