Catton parkrun
More than 250 runners blew away the festive cobwebs at Catton parkrun on New Year's Day.
A total of 259 runners took part as Sam Todd of the City of Norwich AC led the field home in 17:13, just three seconds outside his parkrun personal best. Team-mate Ben Spratling was second home thanks to a new PB of 17:16 whilst Pieter Mackeith was third in 18:24 – also a new PB.
Mabel Beckett (City of Norwich AC) was first female and fourth overall in a superb time of 18:37 (new PB) whilst Suzy Hill was female runner-up in 21:05. Bethan Everson, from Fenland Running Club, was third in 22:29 – her first time at Catton.
Theresa Flint completed her 50th parkrun in 31:07 whilst junior runner Edward Curtis completed his 10th event in 41:05.

King's Lynn parkrun
King's Lynn parkrun also had a decent turnout of 169 runners on New Year's Day.
Warren Armstrong (Ryston Runners AC) was first home in 18:48, closely followed by Matthew Thrower in 19:27. Kenny Addis was three seconds further back in 19:30.
Sally Lynn Hurst was first female in 21:28 followed by Claudia Milburn (Fenland Running Club) in 22:24. Ryston Runners AC's Jane Ashby, in the VW70-74 category, was third in 24:56.
Kevin Howlett (Ryston Runners AC) celebrated his 50th parkrun in 21:25 whilst Hayley Hawes (Ryston Runners AC) notched up her 100th event in 25:08.
George Munson reached the 20 landmark in a time of 24:52.

Thetford parkrun
Thetford parkrun smashed its attendance record on New Year's Day with an impressive 299 runners taking part – beating its previous best of 257 last year.
Cambridge & Coleridge runner Chris Darling was first home in 16:50 with Adam Tapley (Cambridge Triathlon Club) second in 17:40. James Arrowsmith (Trent Park Running Club) was third male in 18:37.
Daisy Glover certainly made an impact during her first ever parkrun event as she was first female in 19:28 whilst Vicki Blackshaw (Canix) was second in 19:53. Sophie Darling (Lincoln Wellington AC) was third with a new personal best of 20:19.
Charlotte Smith (Thetford AC) celebrated her 100th parkun with a time of 23:57 whilst Chris Greenough notched up the same landmark in 26:53. Emma Nicholson also completed her 100th in 43:54 whilst Jessica Retchless chose Thetford to reach 50 parkruns in 32:04.
